Owned by Ginny and Mac Condill, The Homestead Bakery opened its doors in June, 2006 as a way to have a year-round presence in the community. They offer a full line of made-from-scratch baked goods including caramel iced cinnamon rolls, honey yeast breads, sweet breads, over 18 flavors of angel food cakes and their famous iced pumpkin cookies. In addition to baked goods the retail store offers gifts, handmade items from local artisans, candy, soda, coffee, and jarred products.
The Homestead Bakery also wholesales baked goods to several local businesses around Arthur as well as in Springfield and Mattoon. Plus they ship gift boxes nationwide and offer fundraisers to local organizations.
