The Great Pumpkin Patch, just south of Arthur, IL, is proud to invite guests to see around 300 varieties of pumpkins, squash, and gourds from over 20 countries around the world - all grown here on our family farm. We love what we do and take great interest in providing beautiful surroundings for our visitors to experience the harvest season and to connect to the land and each other. Numerous premier displays, over 5,000 hardy mums, various mazes and gardens grace the grounds. We exhibit our love for diversity, through not only plants, but animals — featuring several goats, pigs, exotic chickens, rabbits, and llamas. There are several places to eat and drink on the farm and lots of things to do and see.

Planning on bringing a crowd? Group Rates are available for groups of 20 or more people.

Pet Policy
TGPP is an animal friendly farm. For the safety of your pet(s) and all of our guests, we ask you follow these guidelines:
  • One pet per person.
  • Your pet must be on a leash at all times. No free roaming pets.
  • You must clean up after your pet.
  • Your pet must be friendly to other animals and people.
  • Pets are not allowed in buildings or on picnic tables.
  • If your pet is in a carrier, it must be on a leash if you remove it from the carrier.

We-Pick Patch
When you grow around 300 varieties of pumpkins, squash, and gourds, it takes a keen eye to pick the best fruit. Leave the grunt work to us, we have plenty of pre-picked pumpkins, squash, and gourds for you to choose from on our squash benches, spools, and the boulevard.

U-Pick Patch
If you want to pick your own, have at it. We have a special section of the patch, with hundreds still on the vine so you can find those perfect pumpkins. Don’t forget to weigh them at our weigh station on your way in from the field.

The year 2026 marks our 38th season of celebrating the beauty of harvest with our guests. Our farm has been in our family’s hands for 6 generations—more than 160 years. The farm is our passion, one that each generation has left its mark on, and we’re committed to continuing that tradition. We are blessed to share our story with our visitors, and to share our family’s farm as a place to connect with the land, and each other. - Our Story -

We love, love, love having live music at The Great Pumpkin Patch and our visitors do too. You can sit and watch or continue to roam while the musicians do their thing. Check out our line up for this year. Plan your visit so you can catch some music while you are here! Music plays from 1pm – 4pm on September weekends and 12:30pm – 4:30pm on October weekends.

    Formerly part of the fan favorite group, Me-N-Hime, Dan Basham claims he has grown OLDER, but not necessarily UP in the last 30 years, Dan has definitely grown INTO the premier talent that captures an audience. With classics by the likes of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Willie Nelson - just to name a few.

    Jonny Coller

    With only a guitar and a looper pedal, Jonny Coller plays accoustic folk and outlaw country music with a classic, bluesy voice and a natural feel developed out of the good black dirt of Illinois. He has gained a reputation as a singer and songwriter heavily steeped in the country singers we all love and know by their first names: Willie, Waylon, Merle and Hank.

    Returning to the Patch for the 2nd year, Jake & Mikayla have impressed audiences throughout the midwest region and beyond with their tight harmonies, impressive instrumentation, and amazing stage presence. The duo provides a high-energy Country Music show, with elements of Outlaw, Rockabilly, Gospel, Bluegrass and more.

    Courtney and the Meeks

    Courtney and the Meeks, is a musical duo from Central Illinois. They are here for the party and have a great time doing so! Their music ranges everywhere from 60s 70s 80s 90s rock/pop/country through today's hits as well.

Artists and Vendors
We are proud to host some of Illinois’ most talented gourd artists and their amazing work here at The Great Pumpkin Patch.

These unique works of art include jewelry, toys, musical instruments and seasonal décor. It’s a great opportunity to talk directly to the creators and find out how they turn gourds into such beautiful pieces

2026 Schedule

All season long – Aunt Kim’s Kettle Corn will be here making fresh Kettle Corn and serving up cotton candy and other treats. Every Saturday and Sunday you can find her set up outside the Two Mile Sweet Shop.

Every weekend in October, Bronuts will be here with their delicious mini donuts and an amazing assortment of toppings to try. Find them near the Eatery grill.

The last 3 weekends in October Rosie Jean’s Sweet Tea and Jesus will be here serving up their famous tea with over 20 flavor options to choose from.  Find them across from Bronuts near the Radio Flyer Wagon.
