Sprouts at the Market
Squiggle-Line

We are headed to Urbana’s Market at the Square on Saturday, September 7th to teach children (and their adults) about pumpkins. The “Sprouts at the Market” program runs continuously from 9-11:30 a.m. and is geared toward children ages 3-8. We are calling it “From Dirt to Dessert . . . and Beyond” and kids will be learning about seeds, soil, the A to Z of squash and will even get to sample pumpkin cookies made from pumpkins grown right here at the the Patch.

To get started kids can stop by the main table  in the NW corner of the Market and pick up their event passports. From there they can earn stamps at four stations throughout the Market and there will be small prizes (including 1 day passes to The Great Pumpkin Patch) for those that complete their passport. The Market is at Illinois and Vine streets in historic downtown Urbana and the Sprouts program is free so make sure you head to Urbana Saturday morning and we’ll see you at the Square!
