Things to Do

Premier Activities At the patch

Amazing Mazes!

Can a pumpkin patch ever have too many mazes? Oh, we think not! That’s why from time to time we will come up with yet another maze formation. At this point, we are proud to offer our Straw Bale, Sunflower, Willow, Broomcorn and Mini [toddler] Mazes – that are all fun, free of charge and available at all times.

Don’t miss out on our Great Maize Maze – this is two full acres of cornfield fun that centers around a platform that makes for a super 360˚ vantage point, for taking in all the great Pumpkin Patch sights from a distance. The corn maze is available on weekends for $2 for ages 6 and up; ages 5 and under are free when accompanied by a paying adult.

Peaceful Parcels!

While we consider all of our beautiful and engaging Gardens to be something to see, we also pitch them as something to do! Can anyone resist an invitation to experience even the briefest pause for a moment of peace? A visit to a garden just may be Mother Nature’s prescribed therapy for our fast-paced lives. Aaahhh.

Along with our gardens, be sure to visit our Prairie Land, located immediately east of our willow maze. This small parcel of land has been sentimentally and accurately preserved to illustrate what our ancestors came upon several hundred years ago in their Westward trek. They painstakingly cultivated acres and acres of this type of land into mile after fertile mile of lush Central Illinois farmland.

U-Pick Pumpkins!

Only you know exactly which pumpkin suits your fall-time needs. For decorating, cooking, baking or carving, Picking Pumpkins is a fall-time tradition for countless folks. Find the perfect one! Pick your own pumpkins out in our U-Pick Patch, or select one of the hundreds of our pre-picked pumpkins.

The Wagon Experience!

Another way to experience our farm is by way of our TGPP Express Wagon Ride. This is far more than a mere rack-wagon ride. In 15 minutes, you will hear fascinating true stories that are unique to this farm, blended with practical customs that are universal to all farms. You will be reminded just how colorful the fabric of US history is, how courageous and driven our ancestors were, and how powerful even the simplest of human interactions with nature are. These rides happen all day long on weekends for $2 for ages over 6; 5 and under are free when accompanied by a paying adult.
