The Taste of the Patch
Located at the center of The Great Pumpkin Patch is “The Taste of the Patch.”
There you will find:
The Two-Mile Sweet Shop –For a quick snack or a sweet treat any day of the week. The Two-Mile is a refurbished one-room schoolhouse so you can take in some history while you’re grabbing a bite to eat.
- Everyday: Candies, suckers, fudge, Homestead Bakery goods, caramel apples, chips, popcorn, bottled sodas, water, coffee, and apple cider slush.
- And on Weekdays: Enjoy a light lunch – hot dog, BBQ sandwich or nachos and our famous pumpkin ice cream.
The Pumpkin Eatery (Weekends & Columbus Day) –For a more substantial meal. Cheeseburgers, hot dogs, BBQ pork sandwiches, corn dogs, grilled sweet corn, fresh cut fries, nachos, potato chips and jumbo soft pretzels. Drink choices include apple cider slush, sodas, water, and pumpkin sippers.
The Pumpkin Creamery
(Weekends & Columbus Day) – Get a dip (or two) of ice cream. Flavors include chocolate, vanilla and the crowd favorite, pumpkin ice cream. We also serve ice cream sandwiches and other desserts made with baked goods from The Homestead Bakery a.
Kettle Korn (Weekends & Columbus Day) – You can watch them pop it, snack on some while you tour the grounds and take a bag home for later. If you’re a pumpkin lover like us, try their newest creation, Pumpkin Spice Kettle Korn. Sweet!

Need a new way to cook squash? There are countless ways to cook cucurbits (bake it, fry it, mash it, need we say more?). Stop by the Squash Tasting tent near the windmill and get a sample of just some of the possibilities. Take a taste and you might just find your new favorite recipe.
The Homestead Bakery –We are nationally known for our made-from-scratch Amish baked goods. On your way home make sure you grab a loaf of homemade bread, a pan of cinnamon rolls and some pumpkin baked goods featuring our very own pumpkins. The bakery is located across from the entrance to the Great Pumpkin Patch.
