Me-N-Him have gone through a transition or two as a band for over 30 years now. Starting with a chance acquaintance at a mutual friend’s wedding back in the mid-70’s, this duo band has become a highly sought-after acoustic country music sound. They claim they have grown OLDER, but not necessarily UP. Well, we know they’ve definitely grown INTO the premier talent that captures an audience, by flawlessly belting out classics by the likes of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson – just to name a few. Don’t miss their appearances at TGPP this season.

High Cotton

2018 Scheduled Dates
Saturday, Sept. 8
Saturday, Oct. 20

This band from the flat prairie land of east central Illinois aims at the heart of the high-lonesome sound, full of foggy bottoms and smoky mountain tops. It airs out three and four part harmonies on top of scintillating banjo, skirling fiddles and Monroe-style mandolin all played to the insistent rhythms of guitar and doghouse base. From its beginning days as house band for a local production of the musical Cotton Patch Gospel, High Cotton searches out song and instrumental material to zestify your day with hard-driving, tasteful music. No emotions are neglected and a lot of the good ones are encouraged. If you need some Bluegrass in your life we invite you to pick High Cotton!
