Life Outside The 200 Acres
While The 200 Acres is the center of our universe there is so much to do in the Arthur area that we would be remiss if we didn’t point you in the right direction to all of the other great things to do and see. Here are a few links to other websites that will help you plan your trip.
Home to the oldest and largest Amish settlement in Illinois, Arthur is the place to explore authentic Amish countryside businesses. Also be sure to shop our bustling main street and experience small town charm at its finest. Experience all that Arthur has to offer by visiting the official Arthur website. Events and festivals, a complete business listing and even history and cultural information can all be found here.
Sullivan is just down the road (by our standards) and is our county seat. Featuring a beautiful downtown square with a historic courthouse, The Little Theatre on the Square is just one of the highlights of Sullivan. Check out the Sullivan website and spend some time there after you visit the Patch.
In Illinois, Amish Country includes the towns of Arthur, Arcola, Sullivan and Tuscola. The Amish Country of Illinois website will let you expand your trip and even has an events calendar for all four area towns.
